Artifacts Gallery is located in the historic Farmington Lumber building, downtown Farmington.

 

Artifacts Gallery has a great list of themed shows for 2012

Feb. 1- Mar. 31 -"CUP OF JOE"  Reception will be Feb. 10th 5-7pm There will be a Gallery Walk Downtown the same night.    Our guest artists are Colour Company with a show called "A Common Thread"

Apr. 1- May 26 -"IT'S RAINING CATS AND DOGS"            Reception and Artwalk Apr. 13th   5-9pm

June 9- July 28- "IN LOVE WITH NEW MEXICO" Reception and Artwalk June 8th  5-9pm  Guest Artist is Timothy Gordon

Oct 2-19  "UNHOOKED VII" The Decorated Bra Show to bring awarness to Breast Cancer all proceeds go to the Cathy Lincoln Memorial Fund.    Reception and Artwalk Oct 12th 5-9pm

Nov 2- 30 "Good Morning New Mexico"- A traveling show by Georgie Sichler Bemis.  Georgie's show celebrates NM 100th birthday.  The show will feature artwork from all NM counties.

Dec 1- Jan 30  "An Artfull Christmas"- reception and Artwalk Dec 14 5-9pm

If you would like to submit a piece for any of our shows, here are a few guidelines:   All Artwork MUST be for sale, they must be framed and ready to hang (with wire NO sawtooth hangers), there is a 50/50 commission. If you have any other questions please contact us at:

  • Artifacts Gallery features 50 local and area artists. Thier work includes: watercolor, oils, acrylic, collage, calligraphy, pottery, handmade books, photography, jewerly and handpulled prints.  
  • Over a dozen artists studios are open to visitors inside the gallery.  Visitors are free to ask questions and observe the artists at work.
  • The newest addition to Artifacts is The Chile Store.  The Chile Store has a wide variety of chile food products, most of which are from New Mexico.  The store carries dry mixes, dry rubs, hot sauces, salsas (with a heat level from mild to stupid hot), dessert sauces with chile as well as jams and jellies (mango, peach, raspberry to name a few) with a bite! Chile chocolates and habanero caramels are a unique treat.
  • Artifacts also does Gift Baskets and Gift Certificates.
